Singapore can be a rewarding part of an Asia cruise, but an arrival night and an embarkation morning are not the same as a city break. Decide how much sightseeing you want before choosing the hotel and flight.

Confirm the terminal before arranging transport
Singapore has two principal cruise terminal locations: Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore and Singapore Cruise Centre. The Singapore Tourism Board's arrival information distinguishes them. Use the terminal in your cruise documents, including its address, rather than asking a driver for “the cruise port.”
Marina Bay Cruise Centre is on Marina Coastal Drive. Do not confuse its name with a hotel around Marina Bay or assume that staying by the bay makes the luggage transfer walkable. Singapore Cruise Centre is a different destination.
Choose the hotel for the time you have

For a first visit, the Marina Bay area offers a natural cluster of waterfront and major attractions. Select the experience you most want, then leave time for meals and moving between places. Do not buy several timed entries close together because the map looks compact.
If food and neighbourhoods interest you more than headline attractions, organise the day around that preference. One area explored slowly can be more satisfying than taking transport across the city repeatedly. For a different emphasis, Kampong Gelam combines the Sultan Mosque area, shops, street art and places to eat. Make it a neighbourhood visit, with time to look around and sit down, rather than an extra ten-minute stop on the way to somewhere else. Check visiting arrangements separately if you want to enter a place of worship.
Neither example requires crossing the city for every meal. Pick one main area for the morning and, if you still want more, a second for the afternoon or evening. Keep a sheltered indoor visit or a longer meal as an option if the weather changes. A break at the hotel can be a good use of the day after a long flight.
Test the plan against the arrival clock
Imagine your flight lands late in the evening and the cruise boards the following afternoon. By the time you reach the hotel, eat and sleep, the remaining city time may be breakfast and a brief local walk. Book the hotel for a comfortable arrival and transfer. Adding several prepaid attractions will not create the missing hours.
With two nights, the middle day can be your sightseeing day. That usually makes the final morning simpler: breakfast, checkout, bag collection if needed and the booked transfer. Confirm room access and storage rather than assuming a hotel will provide either outside its stated arrangements.
Decide how you want to travel with luggage
